I'm continuously humbled by the unexpected beauty that we can encounter in life. Beauty in the details, beauty in the mess, beauty in every expression.
Using a mix of watercolour inks, acrylic, oil pastels, watercolour pastels, recycled 23k gold foil and even sand and soil from local Catalan land, much of my work is focused on finding new ways to experience colour, texture, emotions and life itself, focusing on self-expression, play and flow. I allow paintings to evolve, materials to transform themselves and come into their own.
Some of my work is created quickly, other pieces evolve over days, weeks, months, becoming many paintings in one (which is why I also offer prints of details).
So many colours I love, though most of my life I have primarily been drawn to 3 colours specifically and the integration of these. Turquoise, pink and yellow. To me these represent healing communication, heart connection and the joy that we can encounter in life.
When we connect to our heart, express and communicate how we feel, we can uncover the beauty and gifts that emotions can offer - even the uncomfortable ones. There's beauty through the tears, there's wisdom in the mess. It's through the heart felt communication (with self, others and the eternal thread of life) that we reconnect to the deeper joy and beauty that this human experience has to offer.
